Leaves a body

restless

searching

wondering

when enough is enough

circling in on itself

screaming

crying

looking for a release

that just won’t come

It takes a toll

trying so hard

to be what everybody wants

needs

demands

without knowing

what it is you want

and need

and should demand

Leaves a heart

shivering

cowering

walled up

alone

Leaves a spirit

damaged

cold

colorless

dying
